Traditional Leathercraft with Les Wilson : First Basic Belt Workshop

Beginners and experienced are welcome.

During this hands-on workshop, you will explore foundational skills of traditional leathercraft as you hand-craft your very own project to walk away with.

Les Wilson has been a Leather Craftsman for 40 years. In 1985 Les completed a two-year full time Applied Arts course, majoring in Leatherwork at the Bendigo College of Technical and Further Education, winning the Outstanding Achievement Award for his work.  In 1986 he completed a basic course of Teacher Tutor Training through the Hawthorne Institute of Education.  Since which time he has been involved in day and weekend workshops tutoring beginners to semi advanced leather artists.

The techniques involved are very easy to grasp and a range of skills can be mastered in one day.

Skills include:

A basic understanding of leather

Stamping, Carving, Embossing

Bevelling and Burnishing edges

Colouring and Sealing

Setting Rivets and Press-studs

Plus a variety of modern knowledge and techniques that can add another dimension to your projects.

All tool usage, materials, refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

This one-day workshop will set you up with the knowledge and skills to continue your endeavours in your own home and develop your own flavour over time.

You just need to bring along your inquisitive self and maybe a notebook to jot down some of the finer details.

Bonus!!!! You will receive our Wholesale Club Membership valued at $29.95 which will save you up to 30% on all purchases.

Special  Bonus!!!! All attendees will get an educational tour of our warehouse  with information on all leather types and tanning techniques.
