During this hands-on workshop, you will explore foundational  skills of traditional leathercraft as you hand-craft your very own  project.

Valentine's Day Beginners Lacing & Stamping - His & Hers Bag Leather Satchel

Spendan afternoon making a simple leather satchel and learn the basics of lacing andstamping.

Choosefrom two styles of single-pocket bag: square (measuring roughly 20cm x 24cm) orrounded (15cm x 14cm). You'll decorate the leather using Aram's huge collectionof stamps, then use traditional lacing techniques to assemble the bag.

Allmaterials are supplied, and participants will take home both a finished bag andleather to make a second project at home.

Aram Omar has over 40 years of leathercraft experience, and has been teaching classes of all levels and abilities for the last 7 years. 

Beginners and experienced are welcome.

During  this hands-on workshop, you will explore foundational skills of  traditional leathercraft as you hand-craft your very own project to walk  away with.

The techniques involved are very easy to grasp and a range of skills can be mastered in one day.

Skills include:

A basic understanding of leather

Stamping, Carving, Embossing

Hand-stitching

Bevelling and Burnishing edges

Plus a variety of modern knowledge and techniques that can add another dimension to your projects.

All tool usage, materials, refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

This one-day workshop will set you up with the knowledge and skills to continue your endeavours in your own home and develop your own flavour over time.

You just need to bring along your inquisitive self and maybe a notebook to jot down some of the finer details.
